Firewall down

Hi Guys,

I have a pfsense firewall. We had a attack and the complete firewall went down. I could only login by lan. When i disabled all the firewall rules my servers were up again , but as soon as i enabled the rules agian everthing went down.

I could not find anything in the logs about how and why this happend.

What would be the best way to trouble shoot this when it happens again?
