Stupid question

As Mr Hat would say, "…there are no stupid questions, just stupid people..."
Let this person begin:
How do I delete a file from the directory within pfsense? In this case it was a password file in the /etc directory which I created and no longer need. It's not hurting anything just sitting there, all data that was in the file has been deleted... but I cannot figure out how to delete the file itself.

either ssh in and just del the file from the cmd line or sftp in and del the file would be the best way, or you could do the command from the diagnostic command line menu item

Thanks johnpoz! Could you please (I feel rotten for asking this) tell me the command to delete the file? From the command line in the gui would it be /etc/rm 'file-name' ?
