Installing pfSense on the D2500CC

Spent a couple hours last night trying to figure out why I couldn't get pfSense installed on my D2500CC last night… It turns out that if you try to install an image that has the serial debugger enabled, the system will start throwing "Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/ufs/pfsense0" errors regardless of whether you try and install from USB, a CD, or from the hard drive itself!

So, just so that a couple hours of my life don't go to waste if you have this error, try using an image that does not use the serial debug console!!
