DHCP Option 82
-
I have some questions regarding DHCP Option 82.
-
Is anyone else giving out DHCP leases to networks not assigned to an interface? If so, has doing this caused any problems with using the GUI? Actually, PFSENSE will be NATing the IPs, I just need to break out the IP reservations based on switch ID.

Is there any word on the inclusion of this in the GUI? I have read several requests, but the newest of those go back over a year.
Thanks in advance.

No, because that isn't supported in the GUI. It only allows handing out addresses for directly connected (L2) subnets.

Not that I'm aware of, but given that it is primarily useful in cases that aren't supported in the GUI, it would have to come after other things that don't yet exist.

Hello Jimp.
Pfsense, when DHCP option 82 will be enabled to allow addresses to be sent to subnets (L2) that are not directly connected.
is it possible to configure by console?

Mauricio Niño.

There are no current plans to make it available, so there is no estimation of when it might happen in the future.
