SG-1000 w/apcupsd?

Would it be possible to use the apcupsd package on an SG-1000 with a UPS which uses a USB cable, such as an APC BR1500G? I'm thinking that the OTG port might not work in this scenario, but wanted to try and get confirmation.

The mode set for the OTG port lets you use (with an adapter) any USB device like that. We've used it with thumb drives, wifi adapters, GPS units, and more. I don't see any reason that a UPS wouldn't work.
