      Hi all

I am new to this. I could not find anywhere on the supported hardware or compatibility list of modem, the following modem:

      MF833v (4G)
      MF710 HSUPA USB Modem (3G)

Will their be an update to this?

background where i check for this list:

I want to use a USB modem as primary internet access and as failover the ADSL connection. Buying a router was expentive so I bought a second hand computer from the family, loaded pfsense on it and followed a few easy and simple guides.

What sort of modem are you referring to?  Dial up?  Any cable or DSL ISP usually provides the necessary modem, which is connected via Ethernet cable.

I have a cable modem provided by my ISP, connected via Ethernet to the computer I'm running pfSense on.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
        UniFi AC-Lite access point

        I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

Have you tried either of those devices? What was the result?

That list is by no means complete, it's only what people have confirmed as working.

          Steve
