      was looking at the system log and i saw this error php: rc.linkup: Hotplug event detected for LAN(lan) but ignoring since interface is configured with static IP (215.10.15.3 ) does this mean my nic card is dying cause i haven't unplugged it while it is running

        It means something caused the NIC to believe that the link went down/up. Could be the NIC, the switchport, the cable, or even just a change in the settings by the driver (e.g. speed/duplex change, mac change, etc).

        You'll need to post a lot more detail from the log around where that was seen to say more.

          sorry about the delay but what information do you need so i can post it i need to know if i need to get a new nic or not cause the message is still showing up in the logs
