I'm hoping someone can walk me through a VLAN/PPPoE configuration to eliminate the CenturyLink router in my network.

I have pfSense 2.4.1 on my apu1d4 unit. It was hooked up to a cable modem before, and I am trying to connect directly to my CenturyLink ONT fiber to the home box.

I have tried the tutorial here: https://kdemaria.wordpress.com/2015/04/22/how-to-configure-pfsense-2-2-2-for-centurylink-gigabit-seattle-edition/

I live in the Twin Cities, but I assume the configurations are similar. Like that tutorial, I have my PPPoE login information, and Century Link said I needed to use VLAN 201.

With several tweaks, I have been able to get the WAN port to light up and the status to change to "UP" on the dashboard, but it will neither pull an IP address or deliver DNS to the rest of my network. I am a rank newbie to VLAN, and I would give up, but pfSense enables my Plex server and has a point-to-point VPN to my parents' home so I can handle their IT needs without an airline ticket.

Anybody done this or able to walk me through it?
