      Nothing wrong with teamviewer…
Unless the router is really really down and then not so great.

No, its not really really down  :)  I just have no clue what i am doing and i told my boss i could handle the switch to fiber. I cant. Its not working, so i would rather pay someone to figure out what is wrong.

I'm sure they can help you.  If you do manage to knock it offline completely, you might need to take directions over a smart phone with skype and its own internet.
For money, they will be flexible I'm sure.  And they really do know what they are doing.  Can't take that away from them.

I PMed him to get info to help him.

                        My first 3 suspicions…

How is the WAN of pfsense currently configured to obtain an IP?  Static or DHCP?

Is his device a modem or a modem/router combo.  If its a combo, his private IP may be blocked on the WAN.

Last but not least - Lots of po-dunk (spelling) services out there lock on to the first MAC they see like a dog with a bone.  Might need to get his lease refreshed.  He had a laptop plugged into it and that was working fine.  So I suspect its a DHCP lease.  Awaiting details.

Think you are wording here is a bit off..

Its not 1000$ for this one thing.. Its $948 for a year of support.. Not just the 1 thing your currently have issue with.. My guess if you can not figure out this one thing - there are prob going to be other things as well you have problems with ;)

"I dont know how to do that. "

For how to open up the web gui via your wan.. Yeah I am guessing you would be on with support quite a bit ;)  So that $1k for a year will prob cost them money.. heheeh… If you pay for 3 years upfront price comes down to 700$ year..

Is this pfsense hardware, ie netgate purchased before May 31, 2017, and not yet a year then you could use your 2 support instances that came with the hardware before they moved over to the support bundles..
