I'm running two pfSenses in a cluster, both on latest 2.3.4 release.. but one is telling me "2.4.1 available" while the other one only sees "2.4.0 available".
Both are 64bit Xeon machines, installed identically. Switching branches etc did not work either. What could be wrong and how can I resolve it?

For me, when mine did that, I went to system > update > update settings

Changed to developement snapshots, applied, checked for updates.

Then I changed it back to stable, applied, checked for updates.

        Worked after that.

I've got the same issue as the OP.  Tried the "switch to development" trick, but it didn't work.  Still shows 2.4.0.  I was hoping.

Yep - I'm a little mystified how that happens?  DNS?  Something cached somewhere?

I've seen this behavior multiple times now on multiple pfSense firewalls. See my other post at https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=138074.msg762384#msg762384 for more details.

Tried it again and it worked.  This time around, I switched to and from the Security and Stable lines.  Plus, I went back to the Dashboard between swaps.  I don't know which of the two made things different.  But, thanks all around.
