      Hello,

I am about to install the Squid package and Squidguard package.

The setup already has HAVP installed.

I am looking for a setup that I can use to install at my customers locations as a way to scan for virus / malware and to do web content filtering.

I want to know what your thoughts are on installing packages that are "beta" or "experimental" in a production environment. I must tell you that it makes me a little nervous…

Is the "stable" versions of these packages proven? Squid and Squidguard v2 ...

Thank you for your insight and advice.
      Kell

I used both squid2 and squid3-dev, I liked squid3-dev more for it's built in antivirus and https filtering capabilities

Thank you for your input. I will test with v3 and see.
If it has antivirus, maybe I can skip having HAVP installed…
