XG-2758 - Atom C2758 - Current: 1200 MHz, Max: 2400 MHz
-
Hey Guys,
Have 2 XG-2758 boxes in HA.
CPU usage during peak hours is around 90% and I've notice that the clock speed is locked at 1200Mhz.
Is this the normal behaviour? Shouldn't go up with usage? I would prefer even having it always at 2400Mhz and not having any speedstep (if that's the problem)Thanks.

Have a look at the AC power setting.
System -> Advanced -> Miscellaneous -> Power Savings

That seems to be the reason :)

PowerD was disabled though. Enabling it and changing to Maximum seems to fix it.
Any problem in running in "Maximum" all the time?

I'm guessing your not too worried about a few extra watts being drawn.
It probably would have increased if PowerD was enabled.

Any problem in running in "Maximum" all the time? The C2000 series was having an issue and this was related on to high temperature on an integrated
register inside of the SoC. So I personally would be careful with such an option, set up the right matching
hi adaptive that let the CPU scaling up and down as needed and all will be fine. -
We shipped those with powerd set to High Adaptive but Max should not be a problem.
