Can someone please help me set up PPPoE over WAN?

My ISP ships me a Shaw Communications modem. When I connect it, it pulls a DHCP lease from Shaw. Because of this, my WAN is set up as DHCP.
After this, I need to set up the PPPoE tunnel to my ISP. My ISP has provided me a username, password, and subnet block information. From the pfSense interface I'm incredibly lost on how to set this up.
If I set up a subinterface under my WAN and set it as PPPoE, it allows me to enter a username and password. That's fine, but how do I enter any IP information?

Shaw is a cable provider. Judging from what the OP says, I suspect he has to connect to Shaw and then use PPPoE to reach the ISP he buys the service from. Perhaps he should be talking to his ISP's support to find out what they need..

Pretty sure my ISP told me to leave my WAN as DHCP so it can pull an IP from Shaw, then I need to set up a PPPoE connection with statically defined info my ISP has given me. So After my DHCP lease is pulled, pfSense needs to initiate a PPPoE connection with my provided username, password, and IP info. So far I'm stuck on this. No idea what the correct way to do this is.

Really? I love the arrogance here, assuming I didn't search. You might as well pasted a recipe for cake and told me I should have searched for myself when I am instead looking for a recipe for pie.
The supplied post is not a very good result, and I already looked that post over. I shouldn't have to SSH into the firewall and edit config files to hack this together and make it work. In addition, the way the network is laid out in my area I need to acquire a DHCP least from the big telecom company on my WAN, then initiate a PPPoE connection over the WAN interface to my ISP.
If this is the best you can come up with, then this is not the solution I'm after and I'll just have to use a Mikrotik instead.

We need more information to make some conclusions.
I think you need to configure two interfaces the one you have already configured (WAN DHCP) and next you should go to Interfaces>Interface Assignments and then to PPPs tab, add new PPPoE, select same physical interface you have used on WAN and configure all you have there with information provided by ISP, save, go back to Interface Assignments tab, select your newly created PPPoE in drop-down menu and add new interface, name it whatever you want and go to Interfaces->"younewlycreatedinterfacename", enable it and then check if it is working already and IP already received, if it does not, then you need really "hack" mpd config. :(
If it's not acceptable for you then you need to create feature request for PPPoE IP configuration via GUI. ::)
