Pocket VPN/Router: FreeBSD 10.1 and ARM platform e.g. BeagleBone Black

Just noticed that FreeBSD 10.1 is now also available in a BeagleBone ARM-CPU distribution.
Given that a BeagleBoneBlack, incl. WiFi card and antenna is about the size of a cigarette box, it would make an ideal little travel companion for setting up a little VPN/GRE/whatever tunnel/crypto box to connect various smartphones, tablets and laptop while sharing a single hotel/airport WiFi link, particularly since some of these places charge per device connected.So I just wonder what's the likelyhood that 2.2 will be based on 10.1 rather than 10.0 (given that this ist just in beta, and 10.1 is likely released before this gets into the RC state of things…
...of course, I have no idea how minor/major the changes are between 10.0 and 10.1, but the prospect of an ARM version of pfSense is rather exciting, I must say. -

Cool, I missed that switch from 10.0 to 10.1.
That makes the chance of an ARM version much more likely.
Does anyone here know how much of the base pfSense system makes any assumption about the underlying CPU architecture?
Are there any plans for an ARM/BeagleBone release of pfSense? -
If you search the forum for 'beaglebone' you'll find favourable references from several members of the dev team for the Beaglebone black so I'd say the chances are relatively good. Of course it's all relative. ;)

Sounds promising…
...if there's no(t much) CPU dependency in the code, then an unofficial, unsupported build might be relatively easy to do.
