Can the latest pcengines case for APU2 fit a 2.5" drive?
-
Does it have through holes or any other way of securing a 2.5" drive into the case? I'm talking about the latest iteration of the case sold by pcengines.

no. there are 3rd party cases with this capability.

Thanks. Is there enough space in the case to use double sided tape and attach a (slimmer, 9.5mm) sata drive inside?

probably? if you're that happy with a ghetto solution I'd rather skip the tape and just put it upside down. I wouldn't want to be around when the tape failed and dropped a conductor on the motherboard.

Double side tape? With the heat coming from the drive and the APU2 it will fail quickly. Even if it doesn't, it is not safe. Just make a pair of holes use screws and make sure it doesn't get to warm, do it right and the only thing visible will be a flushed screw head

I don't want to mangle the case, and I don't have the right tools. I'll just get an mSATA and find another use for the SSD.
