I'm  not sure what's going on.  I've got 2 identical servers that i've instaled pfsense on in the last month or so.  Both of them i did restore different config backups to.  On one of the servers the package manager is so slow it's unusable.  If i install a pkg from the command line it will eventually finish but each step takes about 10 minutes to complete.

for example it will sit at
      Updating pfSense-core repository catalogue…

for 5-10 minutes, will eventually go on to the next line and will there again for about 10 minutes....

even as it starts downloading each package, if there are say 10 dependencies, it will download each one very fast, then sit for minutes between each dep.

the installation is a raid1 of sas disks, not a usb drive or any kind of slow media... all other functionality behaves fine.  i'm running 2.4.2-p1
