      Hi

Is there a way to connect to a managed switch that is on the WAN side?

I dont know the IP address either. It gets it from DHCP from the ISP.

Normally, I have to plug it into the LAN side if I ever want to manage it. (FW updates etc) so looking to see if there was a way to just connect to the web portal of the switch directly from the LAN

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Eric…

You will have to know the IP address of the switch somehow, and I doubt it really comes from the ISP.

Anyway, if I understand what you want to do, take a look at this https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Accessing_modem_from_inside_firewall  Works great for me, generally going to cable modems.
