I found a ebay 1u server would this work with pfsense?

If you have 2 x Dell R710 in the same rack I'd say its not an issue.
-
I'm sure that will run fine. It will just be loud and hungry like others have said.
What bandwidth do you need? What packages are wanting to run? VPNs?

I have a 42u server rack and 2 dell r710 and a 42 port switch. I want it to be rackable ;D
If you want to get another Dell, I'd suggest an R210II. You should be able to find one within your budget.

I have 1GB down and 100mb upload. I am going to be using nordvpn since, I already paid for 2 years worth.
Also if I got another dell r710 2.5 could that work?

If you want fast VPN you need a better single thread performance and AES-NI. Any recent CPU can do a better job while being whisper silent.

If i got this one. What else would I need? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Poweredge-R210-II-Server-Xeon-E3-1220-3-1ghz-Quad-Core-4GB-RAM-500-GB-HDD/323114533145?hash=item4b3b208119:g:cPEAAOSw~fJamwbo

Doesn't say how many NICs it has. I presume at least two broadcoms.
So you would need nothing else to run pfSense.

Not a fan of HP boxes… they always have some kind of unnecessary, time-wasting proprietary add-ons. But if u got the time, hey.

Alright well in the pictures, I posted that my ISP uses a two connections to make one DSL connection. What kind of NIC will I need to use for this? Also does PFSense even support this?
-
You will need an ISP device to terminate both ADSL lines and hand off a bridged ethernet connection. Any pfSense WAN will do that.
If the ISP does Multi-Link PPP you might be able to get that working with two pfSense WAN ethernets.
You'll have to be more specific as to exactly what your ISP is doing.
As I said, that link does not indicate how many ethernet interfaces those units have.

I will call them and ask some questions to figure it out. Do you have pacific questions you'd like me to ask? I don't know a lot about networking but want to learn more. That's one of the reason, I want to build this machine.

Jeeze dude. How many NICs? What is the technology they use to "bond" ADSL lines? Can their modem be bridged to another router interface?
