I am thinking about moving away from an Asus AC87 router and setup pfSense on a Zotac CI327. Would it be able to handle a gigabit internet connection 1000/1000?

I plan to also run openvpn and some AD filtering on the box. Would the CPU be enough for such tasks?

      Specs:

      Thanks in advance!

It uses Realtek NICs, stay away from it. Get something with Intel NICs.

CI327 passmark 1800, not leaving you much breathing room from what I read, plus I don't like fanless boxes that rely on vent holes to get rid of the heat, would prefer to look at the Qotom/minisys also.

@grimson @SammyWoo I cannot find QOTOM boxes where I live but I have found Partaker. Could you help me choosing the right device for my needs (in OP)? Thanks!
