I am working with a 3 core AMD APU, 4G ram, 1 onboard port and 2 PCIE RT nics and one pci intel nic.

I have the onboard nic set up for PPPoE.
      username: my username

I check the box for connect on demand
put "0" in the box for idle timeout.

Double checked the settings by plugging back in my TP Link router and it connected just fine with the same settings.  What could I be missing here?

Check the ppp log, is it trying to connect? Any errors shown?
Is the parent interface showing a connection? Which NIC is it?
