not sure why backends are down, because web sites are working normally inside network

      any idea?

i'm also getting this: no such file or directory warning in varnish configuration, it does look like a bug!

varnish sucks, after few days of troubleshooting and wildguessing i've installed squid3 and settled everything in 15 minutes.

the third answer for squid3 was correct.
