I like that I can ignore certain sections of the forums by default in the new and recent feeds. For example I have no interested in reading the international support section.

If you set your status to 'Online' it will show green when you're logged in and grey when you logout again. Like Slack for example or like SMF did.
NodeBB now gives the option of not showing active if you wish.

The karma and such didn't carry over. NodeBB also lets us disable downvotes so we can all have a fresh, positive start. Also on NodeBB you upvote posts and not people directly, which seems more appropriate.

My first impression was that it's a bit weird but when I saw that I could browse forum while responding to message at the same time, I was pretty impressed. Add instant notifications to that and a very responsive GUI, I started to love it. I actually look forward to find cool new features our ancient forum was missing. I think first impressions might be negative, at first, because it's a first big change after so much time.

@kom about reputations, we're working on a few ways to point out those who had a good reputation, a lot of posts and karma. We had to focus first on getting the forum migrated, now comes the fun stuff.

You can change the skin to a dark theme or whatever color you want. Click your avatar in the upper right and then click settings, then choose another skin. :)

This isn't PHP, if you hit that it's from a bad redirect. We have a fix for that pending next time we restart the web server.

The one for Home pfSense Packages gives me something.
The one for Home pfSense gives me pfSense Topics about pfSense, click a category blow

That would be https://forum.netgate.com/recent.rss now or perhaps https://forum.netgate.com/recentposts.rss -- pick your poison

That's expected, the feed doesn't pull from subcategories so it's showing what it just in that one category. I think the global 'recent' lists above may be what you're after.
