For EU-citizens: crush the stupid cookies

I believe over in the USA they don't have these insane (ly retarded) politicians like we have over here in the EU.
500 million people have to click 'yes, I accept cookies' tens of times a day because 'that is good for their privacy'.
So that relates to what? 10 billion times clicking 'ok' a day?
Luckily, a fine Internet Hero from Croatia has come to the rescue. I've tried this add on for two weeks in Firefox, and: 't works ;D

You would be incorrect. In the EU, your politicians do stupid things in a misguided attempt to help you. In the US/Canada, our politicians do stupid things in a guided attempt to harm us.

I mostly don't care about those warnings and pretty much ignore them. I'll have a closer look at the extension anyway. I need the 20 or so pixel lines the warnings take ;)
What gets on my nerves though is that websites need to display a warning that they "collect personally identifiable data" (which is questionable, cookies on their own, aren't personally identifiable data, no matter what anyone says), but companies are ok siphoning up your personally identifiable data and sharing it amongst them.
And before anyone objects to my definition of personally identifiable data, the definition is not mine. It comes from Cyprus' "The Processing of Personal Data (Protection of Individuals) Law 138(I)2001 as amended by The Processing of Personal Data (Protection of Individuals) (Amendment) Law of 2003 (37(I)2003)"
Bottom line: politicians do stupid things ;D

Three years ago I was asked to become member of parliament, for a so called 'right wing, business oriented', political party.
I looked him into his eyes, said 'I'm a system's thinker, if the system sucks, no use'. He looked glazed, didn't have a clue what I was talking about ;D
