      Hey guys,

New pfSense user here so i'm not sure what crash data/logs i need to post.

      • unRAID 6.4.1
      • pfSense 2.4.3
      • 2x Gigabit network adapters
      • WAN > Draytek Vigor 130 PPPoE
      • LAN > Switch
      • VLAN via LAN > Switch > 4x AirPort Extremes (Guest Network)

Seems to be crashing every couple of days, i cannot access via the web interface but can use it physically (via VNC, built in unRAID feature to access VM's).

Just not sure what i need to be looking at. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks in advance,
      Nathan

Are you seeing a crash report when it reboots?

How crashed is it? Does the console still respond?

If it does do you still have any connectivity?

Do you see anything in the system log at that time?

        Steve

I'll gather some more information next time it happens.

Usually i'm still able to access it physically and perform a soft reboot.

I cant even ping it when it crashes.

I don't think it displays a crash report on boot.

          Thanks,
          Nathan

Do you use queue based Traffic Shapers? I had the same issues after configuring queue based traffic shaping. Changed to using Limiter, no issue since then.

              Thanks for the suggestions.

It turns out that it was the physical network adapter. I swapped it out and it has been stable for 5 days now.
