Help with port forwarding a program please
-
Hello all,
I am a cable cutter and I use a program called Channels DVR to watch TV from my antenna. That program has a feature where I can access my DVR on my mobile phone. I have been using this program perfectly fine until I switch to pfSense.
My program is hosted on my server (Unraid) and its called Channels DVR. I set it as manually configure the port forwarding and it gave me the port 8089. I added that port to my pfSense and I still cannot get it to route.
I have attached pictures of my pfSense settings.
Internal IP of my server is 192.168.1.2
Port: 8089Thank you!

I am adding a picture of my Channels DVR settings (picking automatic doesn't work either).

Channels DVR.
Is it running on a windows host? If so make sure the builtin firewall is allowing connections from outside your LAN.
Can the box it's running on connect to the internet?
Check your firewall logs and see if traffic is arriving on that port on the WAN interface, check if the internal server is trying to reply. It's a bit difficult to be more precise without more info.

Also looks like your suppose to access it via the url, which sure is not going to be direct to your IP... Kind of like plex where you login with your account on plex and directs you to your IP, etc..
Your going to need to validate traffic actually hits pfsense wan on 8089.. When you try and access. But your forward looks good. Is your pfsense behind a NAT? If so then you would have to forward on that device.
is pfsense wan IP public or rfc1918?
