ZFS feature set 2.4.4 vs 2.4.3
-
It seems that 2.4.4 has a zpool different feature set than 2.4.3. On 2.4.3 i have
$zpool status pool: zroot state: ONLINE scan: none requested config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM zroot ONLINE 0 0 0 mirror-0 ONLINE 0 0 0 ada0p4 ONLINE 0 0 0 ada1p4 ONLINE 0 0 0 errors: No known data errors
After upgrading to 2.4.4 snapshot i have,
$zpool status pool: zroot state: ONLINE status: Some supported features are not enabled on the pool. The pool can still be used, but some features are unavailable. action: Enable all features using 'zpool upgrade'. Once this is done, the pool may no longer be accessible by software that does not support the features. See zpool-features(7) for details. scan: none requested config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM zroot ONLINE 0 0 0 mirror-0 ONLINE 0 0 0 ada0p4 ONLINE 0 0 0 ada1p4 ONLINE 0 0 0 errors: No known data errors
Is it better to re-create the pool with 2.4.4?

I would wait until 2.4.4 is officially released. You won't miss out on anything important now by leaving the pool as it is.

@trumee said in ZFS feature set 2.4.4 vs 2.4.3:
The pool can
still be used, but some features are unavailable# zpool get all zroot | grep feature@
and then check for which ones are "disabled"
