Performance / CPU issues at high speed with Netgate SG-2440
-
Hi,
I seem to become CPU bound (one of the two CPUs pegged at 100%) during high network throughput. At around 600Mbps, on the WAN link, this seems to happen. Is that expected? Is my device too under powered for that sort of throughput?
Is there some setting / feature I should change or turn off, to increase bandwidth throughput? Ideally, I'd like to get to the full 1Gbps :-).

Apparently. I personally suggest an I3 class cpu if you are approaching 1 gig.
One thing u can try, go into config -> system -> advance, and make sure cpu is at full ALL TIME and not speed-stepping.

Ensure PowerD is enabled and set to either Hiadaptive or Maximum.
System > Advanced, Miscellaneous
What packages are you running?
How is your WAN provisioned? PPPoE? DHCP? Static?
