PPPoE Link Not Passing Through

Hello pfSense community,

Recently installed a new firewall to load-balance two WAN circuits (1 cable and 1 DSL).

The cable WAN connection is passing through pfSense just fine.

There is a static IP on the DSL line so I am using PPPoE on the interface. However, it continues to hang at "pending" under Status>Gateways.

I have verified with the ISP that I'm using the right credentials.

I am currently running pfSense 2.4.3.
The old box was running 2.3.x and the PPPoE connection was working.

What's interesting is that if I change the DSL interface to DHCP it works, but no static IP of course.

Could this be something to do with the version upgrade? Or does anyone have any suggestions on the next steps?

I've rebooted the firewall and the modem at least 2x each.
