One Update Time Per Day

I would like to have my system do one update per day of all list, resources, etc between 2am and 3am...how do I do that? It's really not cool during the day for the system to be updating when my office needs to use the Internet...all traffic seems to pause until the update completes.

On my system, the update runs when I log on or manually run it. How is your happening?

What update are you talking about exactly? IDS/IPS list? Pfblocker lists? Bogon? What exactly - the check if your on the lastest version when you log in?

What packages are you running?
My neighbor and I share the Internet so sometimes it can get slow. I am running Suricata, Snort, Squit-anti-virus, and Pfblocker.

I am not speaking of the OS...it's the add on...see earlier post.

Not the OS...you guess it...the IDS/IPS, Pfblocker, Squid antivirus. Do I need to run the Cron add-on to do it?

There are already "Cron" entries in the configuration.. Adding the package gives you a way to edit them easily.

Okay, I have seen the generic setting which offers no precise way other than every 12hrs, 1hr, 24hrs, etc. So, are you saying to have the precision of 2am - 3am, I therefore need to use the Cron package?

Cron package allows you to be very specific about when jobs run..
