I'd expect the RAM in the SG-1000 and SG-3100 to be soldered, so you can't really change it by yourself.

That's unfortunate. Would have been an easy way to rule out memory as a cause of the reboots.

@wgstarks can you please provide more details about the issues you're experiencing? I understand random reboots are occurring? Anything useful in logs?

Had started a separate thread for that, but it's starting to look like possibly a hardware issue.

OK, I would suggest you do what Steve suggested. See what happens after re-install. If it turns out to be RAM related, we've got you covered under warranty.

Never doubted that. No easy way to test the ram though. I'm sure I could boot from some Linux distro and run memtest but that will leave me without a network for a rather long period, unless there's some other method?

Unfortunately, I can't think of a good way to test without significant downtime. Let's see what happens after you re-install. Make sure to test first for a day or two without restoring the previous config file. It will be easier to figure out the cause that way.

I'm trying to work out some sort of plan for exactly how to restore my firewall without using the backup and still have a working network. Should I plan on setting everything up from scratch or is there some way to restore individual services?

In that case, let's just try the re-install with the current config restored.
