      Hi all,

I am having problem with L2TP/IPsec with RADIUS. I tried the local account. The VPN is working fine completely. After I add RADIUS on L2TP page, it doesn't work.

I try to use it on User Manager with the same RADIUS server and secret and I tested it. It is totally working fine on pfsense - User Manager.

Now, I am quite sure that the RADIUS setting on L2TP page is broken or not working. Do anyone have the same problem?

        Hello,

Yes got the same pb in 2.2 and L2TP over IPSEC with Radius (NPS Windows)

On Radius got the error :

Connect Request No reversibly encrypted password is stored for the user account
        Connect Result Rejected

I think it comes from the CHAP protocol and default strategy in Windows
        see : https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/4af28371-162b-4aca-b889-b0d51e196105/chap-authentication-fails-even-with-reversible-encryption-on-nps-server?forum=winserverNIS

Are you in this case ? IAS or NPS Radius ?
The best you be an implemenattion of MS-CHAP in Pfsense

        regards
