Change NPT settings via command line?
-
Hello,
I'm using multi wan and so i also have to use network prefix translation. Unfortunately i don't get a static prefix from my ISP and so the prefix changes everytime the connection is renewed.
As far as i know there is no possibility to adjust the npt settings automatically in pfsense, but i also can not change the settings manually every day.
My idea is to write a short shell script to do this and now i have two questions:
-
Is there any possibility to change zur npt settings via command line or by manipulating a configuration file or something Similar?
-
The Script must also be startet automatically. Is there any possibility to get some signal when the prefix has changed or the connection or lease has been renewed? Is there any built in script in pfsense which runs at the appropriate time and in which a command can be added?
All suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks. -

Thy should honor the DUID and at least try to give you the same prefix every time. If not they are broken and I would take it up with them before hacking something to get around their crappy deployment.
Or get another ISP.

On the WAN Interface page, ensure "Do not allow PD/Address release" is selected.
