Upgrade from 2.4.3.1 to 2.4.4 lost IPv6 connection
-
Upgrading to version 2.4.4 I can't get an IPv6 from my ISP anymore (IPv4 still works). Going back to 2.4.3.1 solves the issue.
Has anyone else run into an issue like this with 2.4.4 ?

Is this a virtualized instance of pfSense, perhaps using Hyper-V? If so there are a few other open threads about it already.
If not, we'll need a lot more detail. Set the DHCPv6 client on WAN to use debug mode and check the logs.

Gotcha, it is virtual instance on Hyper-V.
Since it is a known issue I will just wait for 2.4.4.1.
Thank you for the fast response.

There is a workaround here: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/8489#note-17

I've got intermittent problems with ipV4 after upgrading. Congratulations for going to back to 2.4.3.1, I just wish they would let us all do it.

Start your own thread with details about the problem. This thread is about IPv6, not IPv4. (And if your problem is intermittent IPv4, I'd take a look at https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/8507#note-23 )

I see that 2.4.4.1 has been released. Just checking if you happen to know if this issue is fixed?
Also, is it safe to upgrade from 2.4.3.1 to 2.4.4.1 ?
-
"this issue" was never fully or properly defined, so we have no idea what it is, or if it's fixed. Lots of things were fixed in 2.4.4-p1, so it's possible.

@jimp gotcha, I will be upgrading soon and will update this thread with my results.

@jimp I upgraded from 2.4.3_1 -> 2.4.4_1 and this time I had no issues.
Thanks for the support and great product!
