telegraf ping plugin (feature request)

I would like to monitor how often my main WAN gateway is going down, therefore thought of using telegraph ping plugin, for this first telegraph needs to be updated to latest version and as an extra being available to define endpoint URLs via the web interface, a basic conf could look something like this:

[[inputs.ping]]
  urls = ["4.2.2.2", "google.com"]

Any alternatives or ideas to achieve the same are more than welcome.
