      Hi,

      I wrote a blog post about how to watch disk usage of pfsense and when disk usage become greater than 90%, I send mail to user that the user will be aware that the pfsense disk usage at critical point and user needs to work on it to make disk works again before system get crashed.

        What are you doing that would cause disk usage to grow so much?

        PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
        i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.

          @jknott Well, you can find the +500MB (define size) files on your pfsense file system by using find command like this.

          pfsense# find / -type f -size +500M
          

          Actually "find" command would be fine to find big files on your pfsense. That's all I would do to find big files on my system.

          Also the following command will show you human readable size of txt file

          du -sh filename.txt

            I did and nothing showed up. With something like a firewall, there shouldn't be such an increase in disk usage, as you might get with a regular computer. Maybe you should try finding out where those large files are coming from.
