      I have pfsense 2.4.4 box

      • DHCPv6/56 on wan
      • tracked on lan
      • DHCPv6 server enabled, RA managed
      • assigned some devices with static IP eg ::11

But I have some devices that won't assign static address and get an address from the pool?

      Any ideas please

What do you mean some devices that won't assign static address and get an address from the pool?

        What are these devices?

Some devices do not support DHCP6. Notably Android. Try RA Assisted and see if they get an address via SLAAC.

I'd look at the DHCP logs and see what's up there.

I assigned my xbox a static ::11 address.
But when the xbox starts up.. it gets an address from dynamic pool of ipv6 addresses

              Pfsense gets IPv6 via PD
and I have assigned static ::11 to xbox,::20 t my iMac
but the xbox doesn't pickup the static ::11 assigned address. The iMac does pickup the ::20

is it to do with the IAID?

As I said, I would look at the DHCP logs for the xbox MAC address and see what is happening expecially compared to the iMac.

You might have to delete the ND entry for the xbox and delete the old lease.
