      Greetings,

      Pfsense Version - 2.2.3
      Pkg version 1.10.5

i recently encounter my pfsense WAN IP as blacklisted via zeus bot , thats really strange. I would like to install rkhunter to find it out . I tried to follow this guide

      https://www.adminbyaccident.com/freebsd/how-to-install-rkhunter-on-freebsd/

Pkg didnt install and now getting following error message and I'm unable to install rkhunter on server.

      /usr/local/lib/libpkg.so.4: Undefined symbol "openat"

How do I get this error fixed and install rkhunter.

      Regards

Ouch, do a fresh install of 2.4.4. You are years behind.

@Grimson Thanks , but I can not move directly to 2.4.4 I've some critical services running on it. I would be happy to apply the fix if you could help. Mean while I'm making new pfsense as well. It will take a while to move it to production environment. Hope you can understand.

          Regards

You already thoroughly messed up your pfSense system by installing an unsupported package, face the consequences and do a clean install.

Also if you administrating a production system, why do you run a firewall from 2015? Hire a real admin for your IT.

How is it strange that something behind you got infected? Since you clearly don't manage your firewall, why would anyone expect that you manage devices behind it?

alright I better update , will I be able to install rkhunter or ckrootkit tools. check for suspicious things ? or what is the best choice to do that like HTAV? would be enough and what will be the minimum H/W requirement for it to enable it.

                Regards

Your wanting to install that on your firewall? Why would think you need to do this.. You should run those tools on your clients...

You think pfsense is infected with zeus?
