About every week or so I must restart my pfSense box in order to utilize the WAN connection. I'm usually able to ping the outside world, the dns resolver shows that it is running, and restarting unbound does not help. Does anyone know of any common issues or configuration mistakes that could be the problem? (I've been running pfsense for years and this is a first). Any ideas of what I should be looking for in the logs the next time I have to restart?

Little bit more info would be helpful.

What version, what hardware, etc the more information the better.

          DOH!
          2.4.4-RELEASE
          Dell R610 / 4x1G NIC / Intel X5560 x 2 / 24 GB RAM / 120GB SSD
(a bit overkill I know, but I had the extra hardware)

Really a shot in the dark with the lack of information provided, however does this look close to what you are seeing:

Unbound 1.8.1 has fixed a few memory leaks, notably one in DNS over TLS that causes unbound to consume all memory and fail after a few days.

            https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/9059

If so, try running pkg update to get the latest unbound installed.
