I'm having issues with RDP over my IKEV2 connection. When I start the connection it acts like it will connect and gets past login. But then I see a static black screen or static desktop where no video is coming through.

I doubt this is a PFsense issue.

We also have no idea what you're logging into, but here are a few things I've seen from other posts:

        • Have you tried disabling persistent bitmap caching on the client?

        • Some say CTRL-ALT-END and then cancel works

        • Someone else says this worked for them ---> "Add the "Authenticated Users" and "Interactive Logon" to the local "Users" group and reboot. If the machine is a DC, do the same in the builtin\users Group"

I have seen similar behaviour to that with RDP where the connection MTU was restricted.

Try setting MSS clamping in the IPSec advanced settings. Try setting it to 1300.

It turned out to be a routing issue.

Well, I have some interesting things happening with my routing that I can't explain. I will have to come up with a diagram to show the design and routes to explain the issue.
