    Mirrors no longer have older versions of pfSense - 403 Forbidden

      On page https://www.netgate.com/docs/pfsense/book/install/download-installer-image.html there is a link "For older versions of pfSense software, look in the Software Archive" (https://atxfiles.pfsense.org/mirror/downloads/old/). However that returns a "403 Forbidden" error as does the /old directory on other mirrors. Not sure if that is intentional and the book needs updating, or if it's a problem on the mirrors...?

      We have generally not been saving downloaded installers, assuming they would continue to be available for download... :)

      Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
      When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

        I saw the URL with the old downloads this morning on this forum .
        I'll post it here as soon I get Google working for me again.

          Pretty sure they no longer provide OLD versions.. I believe they were removed when 2.3.x reached EOL..

            Intentionally removed because they are insecure, and we should maintain downloaded copies if we want them.
