3 ISP WANs with XG-7100
-
We recently purchased the XG-7100HA with the 4 port NIC Card addon, We have 3 ISP WAN connections that we would like to connect to it. I found a setup to configure the switch for 8 single interfaces. https://forum.netgate.com/topic/129526/xg-7100-config-switch-for-8-single-interfaces.
I have my first ISP WAN plugged into for ETH1 and is working great. When I plug in ETH2 in for my 2nd ISP want I get packetloss anywhere from 2% to 40%, I plug in my 3rd ISP WAN into ETH3 and both WAN 2 and WAN 3 goto 100% packetloss.
Things I have tried:
- At first I thought it would be the cables from my ISP modem to the firewall, so I replaced them, still same issues.
- I tried my WAN 2 on a different port like ETH 6 and still the same issue.
- I figured since I have the 4 port NIC card, they would be all independent NICs so I tried it in there and nothing happens, looks like the ports are not working, I get lights on that its connected but no activity on that port.
- I disconnect my 1st ISP WAN and connect my 2nd ISP WAN in its place and configure the IP address in that port to match the new ISP and it works fine, no issues.
So I am thinking that somehow the VLAN setup in the attached link didn't work, so I reset back to factory and reconfigured it and the result is still the same.
I am at a loss here, hoping someone may have some insight on this and We can clear this up so we have 3 fully working ISP WANs.
