Latest news I've seen is: https://www.reddit.com/r/PFSENSE/comments/8jfrl6/any_news_on_espressobin_support/dz12qvy/

We are working on it but don't rush to buy one just yet. We will reveal more information soon.

I can confirm that's still the latest news. :)

The anticipation is killing me. I had to shutdown my big-old IBM server from 2006 that I was running pfSense on at home (loud & expensive to run) and now I'm back to my ISP's router/modem combo for the time being :(

You can always use a more energy efficient x86_64 hardware or select one of the appliances sold in the store to run pfSense in your home. Espresso.bin is not the only option you have, is it?

@jahonix I've searched high and low and nothing has jumped out at me that meets my needs at the price point & power consumption of the Espresso.bin. I'm open to suggestions though...

              Bandwidth needs is about 200Mbps.
Espresso.bin works out to be less than $160CAD delivered (granted pfSense image cost will need to be added).

@strigona see how much an apu2/3 costs in your area. (In some places they're cheap, in some places they're crazy expensive.)

@vamike Thanks for suggesting that. It works out to be a bit more ($200-$230 CAD) than the Espresso.bin, but with less uncertainty.
