Hi all, i've been searching around the forums for a couple days and I have a pretty good grasp on how to set this up but had a few questions.

      pfSense 2.2
3 NICs, 1 WAN and 2 internal interfaces (one for wireless clients).

I configure the DSL modem to bridge and pfSense to use PPPOE and it is automatically assigned the gateway for my block of IPs.

My questions are around to use an OPT interface or just use VIPs for the remaining IPs. I've been able to port forward simple web traffic with both methods and different types of VIPs but I'm curious as to what best practice is and if those VIPs should be assigned to the WAN/OPT interface or the localhost.

Also, the NAT wizard seems to create a WAN rule containing the internal IP. Manually changing this seemed to work but i'm starting to think I might be missing something somewhere.

If anyone has a good thread or article that breaks this down that would be great.

      Thanks!
