I just can't get any of my posts to work
I am seriously considering changing to a different platform since I can't seem to get support for pfSense anymore
I have upvoted a several of your posts.. you should be good to post your questions.

Thank you, that's very nice of you
Unfortunately I already managed to install ClearOS and create a working bond0 device for my WAN in that time, which was what my support question was for a couple days ago. I must've had at least 6-7 posts I attempted flagged before I just gave up, akismet really doesn't like new people pasting clipboards of their issues.
I might be back, we'll see how it goes... have a nice day.

Same problem here, took me half an hour to post a thread, posted it piece by piece. Plus I had to wait 2 minutes in between as I'm a new user. After half an hour I finally found out that the problem was the output of ifconfig. This is ridiculous.
Although i really want to like pfSense I'm showered with bad experiences all around pfsense. Just took me 8 hours to find a stupid bug in the tinc package which I found on the first day I ever used pfSense in my life. Then when trying to post about a workaround here I had to spend another 30 minutes just to get around the spam protection. I wonder what the next days will bring...
Enough ranted, really no offense, but please consider disabling akismet or at least consider reconfiguring it to be less strict. This is so absolutely frustrating to write one's fingers to the bone for a good post and than crippling it down to find what akismet is complaining about. -
Unfortunately, NodeBB doesn't have any controls for Akismet other than treating users differently once they reach a certain level of reputation. Disabling Akismet isn't something we can do right now. Without Akismet, we get hit with a ton of spam posts and it puts a large burden on the mods to watch the forum constantly and clean it up.
If you have something you want to post, but can't, then either use a pastebin site / github gist, or post and request some upvotes to get past the initial reputation threshold (5). Above that reputation level Akismet won't treat your posts like spam if it gets tripped.

Ok, seems to me you were not here when the forum - the recent version or the old version - was swamped every morning with dozens of publicity messages (at best) or all kind images with people not wearing cloths at all. Or some Chinese lecture. Or paramedic info. Before I could read about the latest NAT installation that didn't work I was already informed about the latest Viagra offers.
askimet works.

Well,
I just logged in for the first time in a while, and was confronted with this monstrosity of a forum. Seriously, anything that doesn't use standard vbulletin code and a similar layout needs to die.
I spent a while typing up a long question (some 3000 characters) for the virtualization subforum and it just repeatedly rejects it as spam with no indication at all what I can do differently.
This is just awful.

If it has even one false positive it is junk and needs to go.
The usability on this new forum is so bad it's almost as if they are TRYING to drive away users.

Jesus Christ. How come I am being flagged as a "new user" when my profile says I joined 7 YEARS ago and have 172 posts (none of which are spam)?
This Akismet thing is a massive fail. There are so many good forum platforms out there, and they chose this Markdown garbage... Xenforo would have been a good choice, once properly set up.
That, and I can't even access the damned page from my VPN. No one should ever access the internet for any purpose without an anonymous VPN, and blocking them should be illegal.
Seriously, cloudflare is my worst enemy.

One of the software parts is my brain. And I know, doesn't get any better for a long time now.
More serious : if the connection resets, I hit the Akismet wall, or any other phenomena that proofs that our Internet connection fails ones in a while, I have a spare copy on the clipboard, so I can redo and adapt my post ^^This is a hack that shouldn't be necessary.
Good software never requires workarounds.

That's where the karma level comes in. Once you get to 10 pts it won't consider your posts spam.
Well, this is a relief.
They COULD have automatically given users in good standing that have been around for years a few of these points right off of the bat though.

I tried that on my long post in the virtualization subforum, but I can't get past even the first few lines without being marked as spam for some reason.
That's the problem with machine learning and AI. When it goes wrong, no one understands why, because it has drawn some stupid conclusion on its own without being told to.
I expect we will see many more problems like this in our modern "enlightened" AI world.
Damn I wish I could just go back to the 90's. The internet was so much better then. No one spying on me, harvesting my data, and all the annoying people weren't online yet. It was just a bunch of geeks and their servers running under their desks at colleges and workplaces across the country.
As soon as money entered the equation, everything went to shit. There should be no expectation of making money on the internet.

Chill out. You are spamming the thread. Maybe it correctly identified your behavior.
Take a while. Collect your thoughts. It's a forum, not a stream-of-consciousness chat server.
This thread has outlived its usefulness, and all questions have already been answered. It's not intended to be for rants.
