@nogbadthebad yes its manually configured.
the dns servers are
127.0.0.1 1193 msec
192.168.43.2 58 msec
8.8.8.8 192 msec
when I used dns lookup -
I'm talking about the w7 PC not pfsense.
-
@nogbadthebad I didn't add a dns server for the w7. am I supposed to ? and if yes what dns server should I use.
-
How does the PC know were to go to resolve DNS addresses.
Yes if you manually configure an IP address on a host you also need to configure the IP of the DNS Server.
-
@nogbadthebad I see. Thank you very much I was stuck for a while and tried everything on pfsense. Didn't know the problem was with w7. Thanks again.

Not a w7 problem. Every OS on the planet asked for the same info
Without a DNS things go bad.
