PFSense Won't Pick Up IP From NETGEAR CM500 Cable Modem
-
I have looked over this form and tried following the ways other people have done it but I can't seem to get it to work please any help would be great.

If you just bought this modem, the ISP probably has to enable it.
Turn off the cable modem.
Disconnect the cable modem ethernet
Turn on the cable modem
Wait for it to go all green
Make sure the pfSense WAN interface is configured for DHCP.
Connect the WAN interface to the cable modem.

I had some time when no one was using the internet to try what you said but it didn't work. I did spot something that was the actual reason for my problem. It was a bad connector once I replaced it. It worked.
BTW this thread can be locked.
tl:dr bad connector to blame
