      Hi there!
I just jumped on the pfSense thing and I had successfully started it on an ESXi VM (intel i7 NUC). My VDSL comes with VLAN ID 2, successfully passing through my Draytek 130 and Edgerouter X, this one is only set up as Vlan Aware switch.

I have one single problem: I can ping any valid IP from my clients, but can only resolve some domains.
For example, I can’t open Netgate.com, or Reddit, while I can open YouTube or Dslreports.
I set up under System > General Setup a couple DNS Servers (1.1.1.1 and 9.9.9.9 for example) and DNS Server Override is allowed.
I also tried to disable DNS Resolver (was enabled by default) to enable DNS Forwarder, without any success/change.
Funny thing, if I do a ping test or dns lookup in pfSense diagnostics, everything goes well.

DHCP is enabled and I haven’t set up any static IP address yet.

How can I fix this thing? It’s driving me nuts :)

      Thank you!

@sim0cyz i had the same problem. I enabled DNS Forwarding option in DNS Resolver, and all the resolution problems disappeared
