APU2 Crashing

I think you'll find 64 bit to be reliable with the right bios.
2.3.5 will have no future patches, nor updates. -
Will gladly update pfsense once I can get this unit to run stable.
Anyone able to determine if the firmware is the latest now?
-
What firmware ?
How can we tell ? You have the board in front of you .... -
I posted the boot up via putty and serial cable.
-
Ah, Ok.
@Gil posted a link for the APU2 firmware (what ever that is - I don't have one, I'm using a retired Dell PC so I get my BIOS updates from Dell) -
Correct, just wanting someone more familiar with these APU2 to confirm it is updated to the latest version (which I downloaded and ran using TinyCore) by looking at the start up that I posted after the upgrade said complete.
-
Your web status page will tell you your versions
-
Vendor: coreboot
Version: 4.0.7
Release Date: 02/28/2017 -
Also, already had a crash again. Next time it crashes I will retrieve the log. Hesitant to upgrade Pfsense as it was crashing even more often on the latest version
Update crash log is attached.
-
I have about 10 x APU2D4 units that don't crash.
Perhaps you have a hardware issue with your unit? -
FYI, I upgraded coreboot to v4.0.25 which is the latest legacy version.
(PC ENGINES recommend legacy versions for FreeBSD based systems)
No problems to date. What is you exact hardware? -

It's the APU2C0 with a 60GB mSATA drive. I'm also going to try another mSATA drive I have. Starting to run out of options.

What a POS this APU2 board is. Updated BIOS now to 4.0.25 and PFSense to 2.4.4p1 (see attached) and now the board won't even run 5 minutes without crashing.
Also now when it does crash it beeps extremely loud for 10 seconds, then briefly comes back up.
-
Clearly you have a hardware issue.
Check your power supply also. -
@Gil Yup, already started a support case to have it replaced.
Once I get the replacement board, is bios still required to run pfsense 2.4.4?
-
I'd suggest that would be best practice
-
@Gil Is 4.0.25 the recommended version?
-
According to PC Engines, the legacy releases are best for FreeBSD & v4.0.25 is the latest.
That's about as much as I can tell you -

Hi, I have the 4.0.25 Bios-Version on my APU2C0 since (now) 20 days uptime without any issue.
