How can I read log files in shell?

      clog show error:

      [2.3.5-DEVELOPMENT][tomasz@pfSense.mojafirma]/var/log: clog filter.log
clog: ERROR: could not open filter.log (Permission denied)

      Thanks for help.

That should work. Were you logged in as an admin user?

        Does the log file exist?

          [2.4.4-RELEASE][admin@pfsense]/var/log: ls -alg filter.log
          -rw------- 1 root wheel 511488 Apr 25 08:29 filter.log
          [2.4.4-RELEASE][admin@pfsense]/var/log:

Bet you can run the command as your admin user, the file is only readable by root ☺

What does the ID command output?
