Read log file in shell

How can I read log files in shell?

clog show error:

[2.3.5-DEVELOPMENT][tomasz@pfSense.mojafirma]/var/log: clog filter.log
clog: ERROR: could not open filter.log (Permission denied)

That should work. Were you logged in as an admin user?

Does the log file exist?

Bet you can run the command as your admin user, the file is only readable by root
