Cannot Access Internet when using Static configuration in WAN
-
Hi!
I would just like to know what else needs to be configured when the WAN interface is set to STATIC? I already checked the following:
Correct IP Address
Correct Gateway
Correct SubnetAlready entered DNS in System>General Setup
–----------------------------------------------------------------
The network icon on the computer (Windows 7 and Windows 8.1) show NO exclamation point.
When pinging GOOGLE.COM (through Windows Command Prompt), the result is: "Reply from 192.168.1.1: Destination host unreachable."
When doing the TRACERT for GOOGLE.COM (through Windows Command Prompt), DNS is correctly being resolved though Destination host is unreachable.
What else could have I possibly missed out?
Thanks in advance!

Can you ping Google from your WAN interface on your pfsense box?
-
It says:
PING google.com (120.28.12.158): 56 data bytes
–- google.com ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100.0% packet loss
I am very sure that the internet is not down because another network is connected to the ISP's router via a switch (where this network is also connected).

I would double check your gateway and make sure you have everything configured correctly. Can you ping your gateway? What does your arp table show on your WAN connection.

I think I already got where the issue is coming from. I have three Gateways saved in System>Routing>Gateways, where two of which is running. I deleted the first two, and now I can ping and view websites from my computers. I just don't know why would this cause the issue.
